Biography

International fashion designer, Savile Row tailor and Illustrator Paul Austin studied an undergraduate degree in Manchester before being awarded the Harold Tillman Scholarship to study MA Fashion Design Technology Menswear at the London College of Fashion. Whilst at LCF, Austin collaborated with Dr Martens to design footwear for his MA collection.

After graduating in 2008, Austin worked as a freelance menswear designer at French Connection and then in product research and development at Roland Mouret. Austin returned to Manchester in 2010 as an Associate Lecturer on the BA Fashion course, then moved onto be Menswear Designer at Savile Row tailor Gieves and Hawkes, before landing his current role as Design Manager at Pretty Green.

With an already impressive career, and the even more impressive ambition to become the head of a heritage menswear brand in NYC, Paris or London, it seems that Austin is well on his way to reaching his goals.
