Film and Television

Within the Broadcast Technology department, film and television resources are available in four dedicated areas.

TV Studio

LCC's broadcast standard TV studios are fully equipped with the latest specialist equipment and the capability to live stream to the Internet.

You'll be given inductions for a variety of roles so you can become familiar with the demands of a professional TV environment and will have access to facilities including:

• Panasonic full High Definition cameras
• A NewTek Tricaster 8000 Vision Mixing system
• Multi-channel audio mixing
• A fully controllable lighting rig
• Live blue screen compositing
• Digital graphics and titles

The Black Box Studio

The Black Box Studio is an additional large multipurpose space used for video productions. It has a large floor area and ceiling height and offers full black-out curtain and a green screen wall for creating special effects.

Post-Production facilities

You'll have access to specialist editing suites equipped with Macs supporting Adobe Creative Cloud, Mocha, DaVinci Studio, Avid-Pro-Tools and Logic and Red Giant PluralEyes.

Sound facilities for Film and TV

We have three audio post-production suites dedicated to multi-track sound recording, editing and mixing, with 5.1, 7.1 and 2.0 surround monitoring. You'll have access to a range of specialist hardware and software including:

• Pro Tools
• Logic
• Audition
• iZotope RX
• A range of processing and mastering plugins
