Biography
As a member of the College Operational Group, Chris contributes to strategic planning and definition of service quality and standards to meet the College’s aims and values across all areas of academic and relevant enterprise provision.
Chris joined LCC in 2012 as Technical Support Manager overseeing the day to day management of technical areas and associated staff. In December 2016, he was appointed as Head of Technical Resources and continues to provide leadership and management to the team while also focussing on long-term strategy and planning.
With over 18 years’ experience in the Higher Education sector, Chris previously managed the technical resources department at the Institute of Education. Chris has a keen interest in creative photography and film, and before entering the HE sector he trained in medical photography and illustration at Auckland Regional Public Health Service in New Zealand. Chris's training as a medical photographer provided him with a solid technical grounding, not just in the area of photography, but also in film, editing and general audio-visual areas.
Chris is passionate about old and new technology and the rewarding experience students can gain from our diverse technical spaces and technical staff at LCC.
