Biography

Joining London College of Communication directly from industry, Kuldeep brings a breadth and depth of experience from his varied roles in both aeronautical engineering and cybernetics.

From the Royal Air Force to Advertising and everything in-between, Kuldeep’s career has taken him far and wide. He has overseen many international campaigns from India to the US, as well as working for local and start-up brands.

Having cut his teeth with his own digital agency, NANO, specialising in 3D on the internet and early forms of augmented reality, Kuldeep won a number of innovation awards. From here he then went on to a successful career at world-renowned advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi and Publicis.

Seeking new challenges, Kuldeep moved to India where he worked as Head of Digital for The 120 Media Collective. Kuldeep helped set up their digital agency, Jack In The Box Worldwide, which specialises in content for brands, again garnering accolades for his innovative use of technology, in particular, the newly formed HTML 5 standards.

Eventually, his journey brought him back to the UK, where he worked as a freelance Digital Producer, to either fix or create processes and launch client projects for a variety of agencies. Finally, Kuldeep decided now was the time to follow his personal passion for learning and teaching, through building upon and sharing his experience of modern advertising.

Since joining LCC, Kuldeep has married his knowledge of engineering, cybernetics, production and advertising to help students understand how advertising has morphed from a unidirectional messaging discipline to a multi-tiered conversation platform.

Alongside this, Kuldeep has been responsible for many of BA (Hons) Advertising’s end of year pop-up exhibitions, and numerous entries for D&AD, The One Show, YCN and other industry competitions.

Kuldeep’s teaching practice has helped shape his own research, where he is exploring 'The application of cybernetic theory in communication design'. Combining his expertise in virtual worlds and cyberpsychology with aspects of technology, creativity, experiential advertising and artificial intelligence, Kuldeep is looking at ways feedback loops can help create goal-based, evolving and autonomous media communications.

In addition to this, Kuldeep is also developing a peer learning platform, designed to help facilitate a students’ understanding and exploration of their technical skills.
